HTAi 2008 On-Line Program Planner and Scientific Program
Members of the International Scientific Programme Committee are confident that the HTAi 2008 Programme will meet everyone’s expectations: participants will discuss the inner works of HTA in different contexts; decision makers will consider the benefits of HTA in the management of health systems; researchers will present their latest findings and tackle methodological issues with their counterparts from everywhere in the world.
The programme includes pre-conference workshops on the Sunday prior to the conference, three plenary sessions (with simultaneous translation in French, Portuguese and Spanish), a large selection of parallel sessions as well as a post-conference training workshop.
This year, we have innovated in order to offer you an ever more stimulating conference. This is the first time we made a call for ideas for pre- and post-conference workshops. Also, certain groups will be able to present pre-conference workshops in French, Portuguese and Spanish. By opening our conference to these three languages, we wanted to give a pan american perspective to this first HTAi conference to be held in the Americas.
Several presentations will also deal with issues of emerging countries looking to implement technology assessment in the management of their health systems. The Montréal meeting will bring together points of views from over the world, discussing results, methodology, products and challenges of technology assessment.
